ArtHK has become a success in a very short time. In 2011 they had more than 63,000 visitors coming to see exhibitions from galleries from Asia, Europe and USA. It was recently confirmed that Art Basel has bought a 60% stake in the Asian Art Fair, however, MCH Group said each art fair will retain its local flavor. ArtHK is on it's fourth year of success attracting high profile collectors from all over the world establishing itself as the leading international modern and contemporary art fair in Asia.
The Island Shangri-La has a counter at the airport to help you upon arrival and departure. It is located in the Main Arrivals Hall counter B8, opposit Exit B. If you have arranged for a hotel transfer, you will be met outside of customs and the driver will have a placard with your name. There is also taxi service, which will cost approximately HKD 380 for a 30 minute ride to the hotel. There is also an Airport Express Train which departs the Main Arrivals Hall every ten minutes and takes you to the Hong Kong Station in Central, the one way trip costs HKD 100. The nearest MTR station to the hotel is Admiralty Station.
